Activists for Serenity

One view of a definition of an actvist is: a proponent or practitioner of a theory that the relationship between the mind and the objects of perception depends upon the action of the mind. Meaning what you believe is right, and the actions depend on your own mind. I agree with most of this statement, as in if you have a problem and you don't want to live with something, then you should act against it. Most peoples' concerns are just one type of idea or concern. I just hope that they have sat down with themselves and argued out the possibilities of the results of their actions before continuing on. For example one place I know of had an algea problem in a lake, they decided to drop copper sulfate into this lake to take care of the algea, but they didn't realize that doing so would kill all the fish as well until it was too late. Likewise, a community decided to stop using one source of energy to use another cleaner, they did not realize they would be putting about 20 people out of work. At the same time they did create 10 jobs, which those jobs all required degrees of which none of the 20 people who were out of work were qualified. So simply put, think about your activist actions. If you start paying people from a non-profit, what happens when the non-profit is no longer needed? Then they go jobless, or they hold on tightly to any strands they can find to keep bringing in those funds to pay themselves.
